Ryan Budwany, MD, MPH, MBA

Chief Medical Officer, PainHealth

Applying AI to pain medicine is the work that brought him to this stage: pairing emerging tooling with interventional expertise to change how pain is assessed, tracked, and treated.

His practice is built exclusively on interventional spine and pain procedures — targeted injections and minimally invasive techniques aimed at the source of the pain rather than at masking it. He trained under Dr. Tim R. Deer, and now teaches those techniques to other physicians.

He has published numerous book chapters, collaborated with NASA on research into spine health in space, presents at national meetings, and consults for medical and technology organizations.

Beyond the clinic: Executive Director of Medical Diplomats International, expanding care in underserved rural communities; a founder of the Global Spine Initiative; and a leader at the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, where he advocates for early-career physicians.
